TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CAFE

  With much sadness and after a lot of soul searching we have closed our café today for the foreseeable future. The garden centre will remain open and garden maintenance will continue for as long as it is safe. We feel this is the right thing to do for the health and wellbeing of all; to try and help prevent the spread of this virus. We are a family business and thank you all for your support over the years. We will continue and you will see the café re-open when it is deemed time to socialise again.

BARN WORKSHOPS

After the success of our Christmas reindeer making workshop we are pleased to share that our U3A gardening group held their first meeting/talk in our barn. Ian gave a talk on their chosen subjects seed sowing, soils & compost and lawn care. Watch out for more events happening; we are in talks with a jeweller, glass maker and more artist to conduct workshops this year. Once again our thanks go to the South Pennines Leader Programme as our barn was part funded by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

Conversion of the barn at Totties is now complete

Thanks to the South Pennines Leader Programme the conversion of our barn is now complete and was part funded by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. After many a delay with the conversion over the summer months we are pleased to share we have held our 1st workshop in the barn. Electric installed, new concert pad, insulated roof and wall panels installed we are now operational. Conversion of the roofs on our café conservatory and garden shop

We pleased to share that our conversion of the roofs on our café conservatory and garden shop are almost complete. Thanks to the South Pennines Leader Programme the work was part funded by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. This will make them a more pleasant environment to meet and shop. We find that the buildings were too hot in summer and unusable on a hot sunny day and too cold in winter. Fundraising update 2018/19

In 2018, Totties Garden Centre supported both the RSPB and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We had collection buckets in both the garden shop and cafe and our customers have generously donated to both these charities. We've raised £91.73 for the RSPB and £132.75 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance - Thank you to all those who have donated.
